Cultivate the Gospel through Blogs.

Source: google.com via Marcie on Pinterest

Cultivating the Gospel is something that I want to teach and reteach because it's something I believe each one of us must do in order to have perspective and treasure Jesus above all else. Reading Gospel Focused blog is a means which can truly benefit you in cultivating the Gospel.

There are so so so many amazing blogs out there which deal with parenting, homemaking, crafts, being the best christian wife and the list goes on but a huge element I see missing is the Gospel. I pray my blog will not be in the above category, I want to blog about homemaking, parenting, being a godly wife and share my crafts but, I desire for them to all point to Christ and cause you to honor Him and therefore not waste that particular area of life.

The Gospel influences the way you cook, clean, host, parent, read, write, sing, dance, craft and every inch of your life. The blogs below, in my opinion, cultivate the Gospel well. Read the 'women' blogs but be careful when all the advice is do better, get yourself together, thats not the Christian life and it's not the Gospel way.

These two blogs are written from women who are homemakers and are living the Gospel. They are not your mediocre, run of the mill bloggers who just tell ya to do better and live the Christian version of the 'American Dream.' These lovely gals love Jesus and cultivate the Gospel in their homes! Follow them, connect with them and R E A D their stuff!

Desiring Virtue {Homemaking for the Theologian} written by Jessalyn Hutto.

The Father Knows Best written by Kendal.

The last three blogs are 'bigger' blog ministries whom you might have heard of. They are the theologians of our days and we can read them for free! These guys are always giving fresh perspective and encouraging the Gospel with every post published.

The Resurgence blog ministry from Mars Hill Church.

Desiring God ministry blog of John Piper.

The Gospel Coalition several bloggers united for the Gospel.

What Blogs do you believe truly focus on Gospel Centered living? If your a blogger who tries to focus on Gospel living please shoot me an e-mail because I love finding new blogs to read!

LOVE your post! I'm re-working my blog @ Modern Vintage Homemaking to show how IMPORTANT "cultivating" a peaceful home is. It starts with putting God at the front. Blessings to you.

  2. Sweet Marcie, I am very humbled by your words. All I can say is that I am very grateful for the Lord's gracious work through Desiring Virtue. It is because of his gospel and its transforming power that we can aim to be wonderful homemakers, wives, mothers, sisters, and church members. Praise God that we don't have to blog about how perfect we are, but that we can *aim* for perfection through Christ our Perfect One! Love you!

  3. You sweet lady, you!!!!! You have truly encouraged me! I have gone back and forth about giving up my blog. I deleted my facebook account as you know, so my traffic has decreased significantly. But I will continue on!

Thank you for your kind words! :)
