Gospel teaching Story Bible.

After a post explaining the difficulty finding children's books which get the Gospel right I wanted to share my favorite Storybook that doesn't turn each story into a guilt driven attempt to cause kids to earn favor with God.

Every story, every single story, whispers Jesus name in The Jesus Storybook Bible. The author has written the Bible stories in a way that children can understand how Jesus relates and is the most important subject in each bible story, including the Old Testament.

*The following quote is from the author explaining why she wrote this Storybook.

"When we tie up the story in a nice neat little package, and answer all the questions, we leave no room for mystery. Or discovery. We leave no room for the child. No room for God.

And that's why I wrote The Jesus Storybook Bible. So children could know what I didn't:

That the Bible isn't mainly about me, and what I should be doing. It's about God and what he has done.

A few other reasons I enjoy this book is because the illustrations are amazing and way the stories are written are so poetic. At the end of each Old Testament you see it pointing and redirecting us to the Coming Messiah!
