November is National Adoption Month. Frequently bloggers write about their story of adopting but rarely do I see posts by bloggers who have been adopted. Amy from Making a Joyful Home has written about tips from her perspective of being adoptive.

This lady is amazing, she has been praying with me while I'm in the adoption process, e-mailed me explaining lots of helpful things and just encouraged me during seemingly disappointing adoption news. Check out these articles and seriously follow her blog, you won't be disappointed.

Mission-Focused Parenting {article}

What an amazing thought. Mission-Focused Parenting is an article written which has served a great reminder of the needed discipleship in our own homes, with our own little ones. May we not neglect teaching the wonders of the Gospel to our own kids in our home.

Unwasted Homemaking Party #33

Thanksgiving is around the corner, the next week corner to be exact and I'm hosting around 30 people in my new home. No, I'm not fixing all the food, just hosting. I'm getting excited and finalizing my decor and table centerpieces this week and I'm looking for some ideas. Please link up any ideas you have even if you've posted it on here before!

It only has a few items to start but, I'm adding more daily! Hope you can look around and buy some decor for your home or Christmas gifts! Here are a few items in my shop...

This little sign is a re-writeable chalkboard! You can use it as an ornament for your tree, gift tags or makes an excellent gift at Christmas!

This burlap pennant banner spells "noel" and is great decor for Christmas. I have several and plan on hanging them on my bannister, Christmas Tree, dining room hutch and anywhere else I can find. I'm adding different sizes and sayings this week.

This listing has 3 chalkboard Christmas trees. I'm using these to decorate my Christmas Tree and to give as gifts for Christmas.

Just Curious....

I've honestly shied away from a lot of controversy on this blog because I've not felt I had the time to deal with comments/questions but, I found this post by a lovely friend and thought it was something to ask your opinion about. This article is concerning having a woman president and our views as Christians, I would love for you to read the entire article and comment on my blog :)!

Last Week...

Here's a bit of what happened last week...

A car wreck on the way home from church. The kids and I were perfectly safe and I'm grateful for a minivan, I feel so safe in that vehicle now! The other little car was totaled.

Two days after the wreck I feel down some stairs with my head catching my fall. After hours in the E.R. I came away with only tons of pain, no major problems!

The last week was basically me recovering and being extremely thankful. Wow, yup, that's why this blog has been a bit neglected, all of the above and another very excited thing I'm working on... I'll let you know as soon as it's official :).

Cowboy Party {table decor}

Few months ago it was cowboys all the way around my house. My oldest turned a year older and a cowboy party was set to celebrate his life. This is part 1 of 3... decorations.
