Beautiful Things

If we are honest without selves, if we are truthful about the state of our heart, the sinfulness even after conversion, then we can sometimes feel hopeless. However, we are able to find our hope in Christ. Christ has provided a way not only for our justification but our sanctification. My husband purchased this amazing CD Beautiful Things by Gungor. It's so refreshing to meditate on these following lyrics,
"All this pain
I wonder if I’ll ever find my way
I wonder if my life could really change at all
All this earth
Could all that is lost ever be found
Could a garden come up from this ground at all
You make beautiful things
You make beautiful things out of the dust
You make beautiful things
You make beautiful things out of us
All around
Hope is springing up from this old ground
Out of chaos life is being found in You
You make me new, You are making me new"

So grateful that God is making beautiful things out of our sinful life, not to make much of us but, to Glorify Him!

  2. I saw Gungor in concert a few weeks ago.
    It was pretty intense.
There would be these spoken word times by Ameena (sp?) Brown.
It was a good time of meditation.
I think your last line sums it up. He changes us for His glory!

  3. Just posted about this on Monday(a friend gave it me this week). April 25th is the date our daughter died...we try to focus more on her birthday, but it's impossible to get through these weeks without remembering.
I love these words and our God who heals and redeems:

You make beautiful things out of the dust
    You make beautiful things
You make beautiful things out of us
    All around
Hope is springing up from this old ground.
