"I'm in control of nothing; follow you at any cost,
Some call it Sovereign will, all I know is you the Boss
And man, I'm so at ease, I'm so content
I'll play the background, like it's an instrument."
The process of adoption has been one of the biggest trials I've experienced. It has been so up and down and things seem to spin out of control with nearly one phone call. The biggest truth I've learned (brace yourself you may be a new concept) I'm not in control. Okay, so maybe it isn't the first time you’ve heard this, however, in America we say God is in control and Sovereign in our lives and events but, we live differently. Why else do we get stressed or upset or have worries? Because we don't trust at that moment that the Lord is not surprised and that He is working that situation for our good.
This week has been another seemingly down time in the process of adoption however; I'm trusting in the Lord and banking this situation on Romans 8:28. In view of this passage I can trust that God is working each event for my good.
What 'good' is God working out for His children? God is working everything for my good to conform me to Christ (vs.29) to have closer fellowship with God and to bear good fruit for the kingdom and for my ultimate glorification (vs.30).
The quoted paragraph is from LeCrae’s new album Rehab (which is the best cd I’ve seriously heard) what a beautiful picture of being at ease, having peace, being content because we trust in the Lord.
Ladies, if you are a redeemed believer then bank each and every situation on Romans 8:28. You can have peace and be at ease knowing what wonderful ways the Lord is working these situation for our good!
I'm posting here at Good Morning Girls.
